[VIRTUAL] Equitable Culture: Embedding Fairness in Daily Practice
Equity requires consistent action rather than one-time initiatives. This 1-hour course begins with the why behind DEIB discussion and work, exploring what data shows about what happens when we say no or yes to DEIB. We then wrap definitions around the terms diversity, equity, inclusion, and true belonging so that we can all move through the material with shared language. After a discussion of what DEIB is, we tackle the DEIB Barriers (1) overt discrimination, and (2) unconscious bias, as well as actionable strategies for battling both. In addition, we will examine how everyday practices can unintentionally reinforce inequities. This training offers practical insights for teams committed to strengthening organizational culture.
