[VIRTUAL] Local Program Marketing & Community Awareness: Visibility with Purpose

About This Series
This workshop series is offered through a collaboration between the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits (OKCNP) and the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness (OPSR), created to support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Program Partners across the state. Together, OKCNP and OPSR designed this series to meet local program leaders where they are with practical, hands-on training that strengthens the everyday work of running a mission-driven organization.
Over three focused sessions, participants will build skills in community marketing, fundraising and financial sustainability, and strategic partnership development. Each workshop stands on its own, so you're welcome to join any of them.
Part 1 of 3: Local Program Marketing & Community Awareness
This first session in the series focuses on the foundation everything else builds on: how clearly your program communicates its value. Your work deserves to be seen clearly by the people who matter most; donors, partners, and the community you serve. We'll dig into what makes a message land, who you really want to be talking to, and which marketing channels are worth your time and energy. You'll leave with a clearer, more confident way to talk about your program and one real strategy you can put to work in the next 30 days.
What you'll walk away knowing how to do:
- Put your program's value into words your board and staff can confidently repeat.
- Get clear on who your priority audiences are and reach them equitably.
- Take stock of your marketing channels and where to focus your energy.
- Tie your awareness efforts to real outcomes, not just activity.
- Help your board show up as advocates and storytellers for your mission.
