Oklahoma’s nonprofit sector is diverse and interconnected. This session highlights structures, trends, and statewide opportunities that shape nonprofit work. Participants learn how OKCNP serves as a connector supporting collaboration, advocacy, and capacity building. It is an excellent introduction for individuals new to the sector. These live virtual calls are for open to the public, although series registration is required.

A practical introduction to the essential roles, responsibilities, and best practices of nonprofit boards. Participants will explore how effective governance works, what board members need to succeed, and how strong board–staff partnerships can elevate an organization’s mission. Ideal for new board members, emerging leaders, or staff who work closely with boards, this training offers clear guidance, real‑world examples, and actionable next steps to strengthen board engagement and performance.
